On top of the original single spring contact, we added an extra one to increase the contact force, making the connection between the contact and the coil more reliable. The new version of the antenna replaces the adjustment screw and plug used on the original JPC-7 and PAC-12 with a sliding tuner, making SWR adjustment simple and effortless-just slide the tuning block gently with your finger. If the resonant frequency is too high, the antenna is too short - extend the telescopic antenna or increase the number of turns on the loading coil. If you don't have an antenna analyzer: Use the built-in SWR meter on your transceiver. Then follow the same method above to fine-tune the antenna. When using the counterpoise, tearing off 3 to 4 strands is sufficient. Adjusting the angle of the counterpoise can change the antenna's impedance.
