This unit requires 6x AA alkaline or NiMH batteries (stored in the compartment on the rear of the unit). A DC external power cable is included for external power supply use. NiMH rechargeable batteries can be charged inside the unit by connecting an external power supply. The Comet CAA-500 Mark II is an advanced antenna analyzer covering 1.8-500 MHz across 35 range divisions, designed for amateur radio operators who need accurate SWR and impedance measurements. Building on the popular CAA-500, the Mark II adds a color LCD display, one-button SWR frequency sweep, built-in NiMH charging, and auto power-off for enhanced usability in the field. 1.8-inch color LCD displays frequency, SWR, impedance, and battery level graphically. SWR frequency sweep: one button automatically sweeps near the measured frequency and plots the SWR waveform.
Manual plot mode also available for SWR sweep. Built-in NiMH battery charging - simply connect external power with batteries installed. Auto power-off function: configurable from 1 to 9 minutes (1-minute increments). Dual connectors with automatic switching: M-J for HF/VHF, N-J for UHF.Both mechanical meter and LCD readout for SWR and impedance. Frequency Range: 1.8-500 MHz, 35 range divisions.
