And experimenters who have limited space to install an antenna. It is small enough to be easily hidden from view. With the recent improvements in antenna tuners it provides a very good solution to many installation problems.

If you are limited on space to hang an antenna, but still want to use all of the HF bands then this antenna is a good choice for you. The Maple Leaf Easy-Tenna is an end fed, multiband, wire antenna that will cover all bands from 160 to 10 meters, including the WARC Bands, as well as 60 meters. The Easy-Tenna is the perfect antenna for hams living in HOA controlled housing, hams desiring a very stealthy antenna, apartment dwellers, back packers, vacationing, RV antenna, Field Day operations, sail boats, portable operating, back yard installations etc. It takes only moments to deploy the Easy-Tenna.

Pull it up into a tree, hang it off the balcony, lay it on the roof, put it in the attic, etc. And you are on the air and making contacts. Many HF ham bands 80-10 meters can be tuned by the tuner in your radio. NOTE: to tune all hf ham bands 80-10 meters an external tuner will be required. One of the greatest things about this antenna design is that.

Absolutely no ground connection is required for excellent performance. I did design a ground/counterpoise connection into the matching device just in case you want to add a ground or counterpoise.

This antenna can be hung in many different configurations. It can be hung as a sloper, an inverted L, hung in a straight line, zig-zagged, vertical, horizontal, etc. By requiring no ground connection this antenna is just about the easiest antenna to install that I have ever used. Simply run your coax to the matching device and connect the antenna wire to the matching device. Attach the end of the antenna wire to a high support and you are ready to get on the air and make contacts.

If you live in an apartment then this antenna will allow you to get on the air with little effort and no one will even know that you are on the air. - this antenna can be deployed in a matter of seconds. Total weight is under 1.5 pounds, depending on how long the antenna wire is. NOTE I make this design in several lengths.

The antenna works best if the coax is at least 50 ft. Any coax length in excess of 50 ft. Will also work just fine. I do recommend using a choke balun or a line isolator to keep rf away from you and your equiptment. I sell good quality, but inexpensive, choke baluns and line isolators on E-Bay if you need one.

I will include a set of installation instructions with each antenna order. Installing this antenna design is about as simple as it gets! This antenna is 53, 59, or 72 ft long. We make the same design in many other lengths.

The antenna wire is 14 gauge pure stranded copper that is quite flexible. The wire is double insulated and u.

We have used this type of wire for many years and it holds up quite well. Even though insulated wire is more expensive, we use it because foliage will not detune the SWR on the insulated wire.
