MFJ-269 HF/VHF/UHF Ham Radio SWR Antenna Analyzer With Case

Fresh from an estate comes this MFJ HF/VHF/UHF SWR analyzer, model MFJ-269. It's primary function is measuring the SWR of antennas but it does quite a bit more. This model covers HF, VHF and UHF, from 1.8 to 170 MHz plus 415 to 470 MHz.

As found it powered up and worked. On closer examination though I found leaky batteries installed. Fortunately they came out and did no permanent damage. I cleaned up the crud and installed a new set of batteries and it worked fine.

The battery case is loose however. Unless you're rough with it this shouldn't matter, otherwise you could open it up and replace the missing screws. For testing I swept my HF triband beam and got the expected results. In the photos you can see it testing a 2m whip in SWR mode and checking my HT transmit frequency in frequency counter mode.

I did not test every possible band and function but it appears to work fine. In addition to the meter it comes with the MFJ case, a flexible antenna that can be used on the frequency counter input and a coax adapter on the antenna input.
