80-40-20-17-12-10 Meter Multi Band HF Off Center Feed Dipole antenna. Balun is a 4:1 Current type. Constructed using two 2.4X.

Two layers of glass tape provide >kV of core insulation. Windings are #14 Thermalize wire with Teflon tubing.

Balun is rated at 3Kw. To provide better antenna to feedline isolation (results in a less distorded radiation pattern by removing the vertical element of the feedline) I add a 1:1 choke with several thousand ohms of choking impeadence. Core materials of the 4:1 Balun and the 1:1 choke differ as they are intended to do different thing. The box is a Hammond grey glass reinforced polyester with a Mohogumi rubber gasket.

I machined 7/8 black Delran rod for the ΒΌ eyebolts to screw into the ends and the center 5/16 eyebolt screw in the center. All hardware is stainless steel. Antenna wire is #14 546 Flexweave. Everything used to build this antenna in brand new.
