Rigexpert High power Fractal magnetic loop antenna

The Rigexpert magnetic loop is a tuned loop antenna and consists of a band of aluminum. 38X 3.16 mm circumference 10 meters (acting as a radiating inductor) with a stepping-motor-driven tuning capacitor mounted in series with the band. The LC combination is made to resonate at the chosen operating frequency. The loop has very high Q and the bandwidth is quite narrow, resulting in attenuation of any harmonics from the user's transmitter, or strong local signals from any adjacent transmitter.

Tuning is accomplished by controlling the stepping motor from manual remote control. Box It allows tune from 7 Mhz to 14.500MHZ. For best radiation symmetry and best SWR we will use a symmetric gamma match. 6.97Mhz-14.500 no gaps.
