Dual Band Slim Jim J-Pole More gain than a standard J-pole! Now With SMA(Standard), BNC, UHF, Mini-UHF or N & 16' Coax. This is a custom built 2 meter/70 centimeter band Slim Jim antenna fashioned from 450 ohm window wire.

This is a quality assembled product that will last you many years. In mine and others opinions this antenna out-performs ½ wave verticals standard j-poles and co-linear j-poles. Features: Length - 57 Antenna / 16' Feedline.

Connector - Assorted Male connectors available (SMA Standard) Construction - 450 ohm ladder line 16' RG-58 and an SMA(Standard), BNC, Male-N or UHF Connector Also available for Chinese import handhelds are the Female SMA connectors. You can see from the illustration that the half wave radiator folds back on itself. This essentially creates an end fed dipole yet still retains the j match system. The traps isolate the bottom of the antenna at high frequencies to allow dual band use.

The lower half of the antenna becomes a 70cm j-pole. At 2 meter frequencies the wave doesn't see the traps and acts as a regular slim jim antenna. This antenna can be supported by many things including trees, ceilings, curtain rods and pretty much anything else you can dream up that will support 6oz of weight and keep the antenna a couple inches away from solid objects.

These antennas are great for ecom activities, field expeditions and hotel rooms or any other use you can dream up. This antenna comes with 16 feet of high quality pe dielectric RG-58 Coax cable and your choice of SMA, BNC or UHF connector for easy deployment with an HT or Base/Mobile Radio. The matching section is soldered then sealed with double wall adhesive type heatshrink to protect it from the weather. These plots show the resonant areas of this antenna. The 2 meter portion still retains its sharp highly resonant features.

Plus we add quite a bit of bandwidth on 70cm making this a great little field antenna. For the listed price you get 1 antenna.

Item pictured is not actual antenna but all are built the same. If you do not you will get an SMA. I use Amphenol N connectors they cost more than double my normal connectors.
