33ft 10m Vertical HF Antenna

Free standing Heavy duty 33ft (10m) Vertical HF Antenna. Antenna is made from High quality 6063-T6 corrosion resistant Aluminium tubing. The bottom sector is 40mm wide with 2mm thickness, while the top thinner sector is 8mm with 1mm thickness. No loosy traps, coils or capacitance hats are used. All sectors, except the top, are secured each other with double INOX screws.

A high quality INOX hose clamp is used to secure only the last sector, so you can trim the antenna at the desired length. The antenna can be adjusted from 31,3ft (9,55m) to almost 35,7ft (10,90m) The usual total length of the antenna is 33 ft (10,03m).

Top quality STAUFF (made in Germany) insulating Polyamide clamps are used for robust & secure mounting of the antenna on the thick (5mm) aluminium plate. Stauff polyamide (black) clamps withstand easily the high sunny enviroment of Greece. The thick (5mm) aluminium mounting plate is equipped with 2 glavanized V-shaped clamps, that can mount securely the antenna to any pole (not included in this action) up to 48mm diameter (typical 1' 1/2 water pipe).

60mm mounting clamps are available at exta cost (+6 USD). The antenna resonates at 7 MHz band (40m), as it is Lamda/4 on this band. A short patch cable is also supplied for connecting the antenna to the automatic ATU. Depending the installation height and the operating frequency, the take-off angle & lobe varies. A plate with SO-239 female connector is also supplied, if you want to feed the antenna directly with coax cable.

The more radials you use, the better results you can get from your vertical antenna. Rudy Severns, N6LF has very interesting data in his site on this topic.

The antenna is free standing at winds up to 120Km/h. For more safaty and If you are going to install it at a place with higher wind levels, we recomend to use the supplied insulated plates for mounting 2 series of thin guying ropes, at 25mm & 16mm sectors respectively.
