Add in another element and have say 40m (and 10m) and say 20m (or 17 / 15 / 12). With 30, 17 and 12m elements, inbuilt ATUs will tune this on all bands too! All this is detailed in the User Guide.Search Google for "dx commander lite user guide". The whole engineering and build process of the DXC Lite is on the DX Commander YouTube Channel. Just search google for "dx commander lite playlist" and you'll track me down. This is a complete kit including 100m of D10 wire. All you need to do is measure your element lengths (there is a cut-guide in the user guide), solder the fork connectors to your wire. All you'll need are some guy stakes. Any guy stakes will do (depending on the ground). DX Commander 7m Pole (115 cms when retracted). Guy Plate - Engineered Nylon.
Upper Spreader Plate - Nylon. SO239 Assembly with flying lead. Appropriate qty 6mm stainless bolts. Appropriate qty Stainless wing nuts. You don't need an ATU if you use dedicated elements for the bands you want, however in the main, you will get at least 4 bands without an ATU. The 30m elements is perfect for FT8 on 6m band and when using the 40m element, you get a perfectly tuned 5/8th pattern on 10m band for free. Lots of fun to be had here in an economic package. One early adpoter tells me he can have this up and running inside 10 minutes. This is a ground-mounted system, which keeps the visual footprint to a minimum. But you will need to make up some radials from the wire I supply. You don't need a ton of radials though.
Maximum size I recommend is 2.5m long. And you don't need a 360 arc. Build it with a 180 degree footprint if you like. I have customers using these even with a 90 degree radials arc fields with great results.
And 40m with some of the Weak Signal modes (FT8 for instance) is great fun at night when there is DX floating about. All this is completely detailed in the user guide (search Google for "dx commander lite user guide") and on my YouTube Channel.
Just search YouTube for "DX Commander Lite" and you'll find me. Suitable for all 100W radios. Not recommended for very high power continuous duty modes. Tested to 250W SSB and 50W continuous.Any concerns, just track me down and I'll help. I'm a real guy and although this is hobby business, I take it extremely seriously. On the other hand, sometimes if you catch me at the right time, I may dispatch next day. But this is not a 24 hour service.
And remember, it's got my name on it - and I always do the right thing. My reputation is extremely valuable to me.
