The first three pictures are the new design, the pictures that follow are older models for comparison. There are now MANY copy cats out there that want to capitalize on my design. I can show this in my records. That is fine because it means im making a great product!
Some of the copies are just plain junk, and some are built a little better then others. Also, there are no good copies of my tap ring. And if you have any problems at all I will take care of you!! There are 5 pics you will see showing the antenna mounted on a vehicle with the analyzer connected showing the versatility of the coil.
I found an interesting youtube video from a customer of mine in SE Australia! Go to youtube and type in "My Yeasu FT-857D portable down by the Macquarie river" He has 3 videos of his portable set up, 2 of them show our antenna system clearly, his name is Jeff Wilson.
Check out the youtube video "HF Portable antenna system 10-80P North Huron Communications". It uses a 8' BRASS mast that will pack down to 18", it is much stronger then any of the "collapsible antennas.
The coil is 8.5 long x about 1 3/8 wide. It comes with the mount to fit any standard tripod and counterpoise wire.
I have run 250 watts without issue. People use it camping or just on the back porch!Great for apartment dwellers too. Easy to use, it has a ring that slides up and down the coil making positive contact at any point on the coil giving it continuous coverage! Just listen to your RX while you tune up or down on the coil until you hear the noise peak, then you are very close! Then you can roll the counterpoise wire in or out for best SWR! You can tune it to an almost flat SWR.
The coil itself also has a 3/8 x 24 thread base so you can use it on most mobile mounts! Comes with the coil, mount, antenna mast and the counterpoise wire. And yes, it covers from 80 to 10 meters continuous, and 6 meters when you shorten the whip. Here is a comment from a happy ham.... I'm having huge success using the portable antenna w/ my TS-520S rig.
I've been checking in with several nets centered in Hanford, CA. I use an external speaker located outside so I can listen to signal while tuning base coil.
The length of counterpoise doesn't seem to matter much, but maybe you can expand on that. I mainly use 75m and 40m making contacts in Nevada, Sacramento and the high desert areas including the High Sierras. I'm going to put up the highest feedback for your product. I hope it helps generate more sales for you.I find the portable antenna very easy to use and enjoy it's very high dependability. Sincerely yours; Steven Wolfe, KD8KJS. I have been building antennas for a long time. I have been a ham since I was 15 years old and have never lost interest in the hobby.
