The ATAS-120A has a mechanism called YAESU's original active tuning system. A small motor built into the antenna changes the effective length of the antenna itself to achieve matching and efficiently radiate the transmission radio waves. The operating frequency covers 7MHz to 430MHz with one antenna (excluding 10/18/24MHz bands).

In addition to being mounted on a car, you can easily install it on a balcony or other place to enjoy HF operation. Operable frequency bands: 7/14/21/28/50/144/430MHz bands. Waterproof performance: Equivalent to JIS protection class 4 splash-proof type. Maximum input power: 120W (SSB)/100W (28-50MHz/FM), 50W (144/430MHz). Total length: Approximately 1.4m when contracted/approximately 1.6m when extended.
